6 one hour classes for people new to yoga.
In this course, we begin by exploring the foundation yoga poses and basic sequences to become acquainted or reacquainted with our bodies. Breathing practices and deep relaxation are included to help calm busy minds.
A purely introductory course for people with no previous yoga experience. All six one-hour classes are pre-recorded for you to practice at your convenience, however, Tracey is always happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your yoga practice.
Learn in the privacy and comfort of your own home, and at your own pace, for less than $8 a class, AND with the support of Tracey, a Yoga Alliance E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher).
Hi, I’m Tracey Drake (she/her)
My goal as a yoga teacher is to help people feel better, physically and emotionally, so that they can age well and live their best life. I have been teaching yoga since 2006. Over the years I have recorded many 1,000's of hours of training in the various aspects of yoga, and have had the opportunity of leading group yoga classes and individuals from all walks of life. My yoga education continues and is today centred on providing a yoga experience to students that is supportive and adapted to the aging process we all (hopefully) eventually experience.
I recognize that everyone is unique and I lead my students with the emphasis on function, not form, adapting poses and practices for the individual, whether in a group class or one-on-one session. I want my students to leave my classes and practices feeling well, at ease, de-stressed and happy, so they may take these feelings with them into their everyday lives.
I live in Peterborough, Ontario, and share the love of my pets and the outdoors with my life partner, Graeme.
